A fine observation. Lovely shot. You have captured the delicate leaf against the rough textured bark expertly. The colors and the framing makes the image to pop up. Good luck in the contest.

A very nice photo and a great entry for the framed contest. The wonderfully colored leaf is so well contrasted by the white of the paper birch. The dark interior complements the leaf making it stand out so well. Best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

Yes, this is an artistic rendition that only a photographer would see and capture.
Framed nicely, with gorgeous texture showing in the bark and the blood red of the leaf with touches of green are punchy and provide a good punctuation point for your shot.
The compositional style looks grand and in particular you dynamic tonal range is well calibrated on the exposure meter.
Top notch.
