This is a lovely shot of nature. A great capture of a foggy morning! I like the atmospherics! You have framed it well. The light and shadows, and the composition have worked out well. Good luck!

A beautiful atmospheric picture of the mist rising off the icy river hiding the trees on the far bank & the river island behind it. Beautifully framed by the trees in the foreground. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Trees in the background are nicely framed by the trees in the foreground with the veil of fog suspended over the water. Image is well focused with sharp detail in the tree branches scraping the sky. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for converting this take into B&W. The color range this time of year is nearly monochromatic anyway.

The 'Lens Effects' algorithm really sets a foreboding mood that stimulates the senses - well done.

I like the framing of this composition. The separation of the two groups of trees guide the viewers eye to the center of the scene. The trees being in silhouette do not dominate the scene as they might in full color.

The visual impact of this shot does not assault the viewer with visual overload.

Your camera technique is excellent.

I have found that in my own case I have gotten in the habit of setting my DSLR to B&W mode on those occasions where I see a near mono. I think the contrast scale is longer from the camera as opposed to post production conversion.

The down side - sometimes I forget to reset back to color ... B-)) Bob

Very nice shot posted here, but where in the world is it? Your fine composition is both classical and modern simultaneously! Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Awesome!
What a spectacular image you've presented us with here!
There's seriously nothing else that I feel I have to say about it!
( Besides 'Good Show',which it most definitely is!
