I think you have given us a perfect B&W here with an excellent choice for your flower. You have stripped down the subject to its bare essentials and concentrated on controlling the light and shadows and of course that one 'color'...grey.
You have done that with true artistic decisions. Those thin white petals are a strong visual and are actually creating a mood of a bit of an abstract. You know I love B&W flower photos for all of the above reasons. And I think you have created a work of art with your choices here. Framing is perfect! Yes, Cone flowers are such an interesting and enjoyable addition to the flower world. Something about them is always a bright spot. Black and white is a great way to highlight the shape of the petals and make them pop. You have nice tight framing and overall a very pretty entry.
