WOW a very spooky shot - you really managed it to bring the mystic of such an old place into life - the fog seems to be the attraction of the light seeming to call the spirits to get up and to leave. A well framed picture - super in distance - clear and sharp - great DOF contrast and awesome lighting

I like this Meg,the strong tones of black and the distant whitish tones of the fog add such a good contrast, and its quite atmospheric and only b/w would have done for this, good one this.

Yes it was bad news about the shooting, trouble is it will keep on happening until something is done about it,its something that we in the uk don,t understand and can,t get our head round it...Brian

Thank you Brian. The thing that bothers me most is that the shooter was reported to the FBI and they did not follow up. We need to ban these type of guns.

The fog so beautifully captured and adds so much contrast and clarity to your photography. Beautifully written artists notes. I like how the lines on the path draw you into your image. Good storytelling with your image. Thanks for sharing.

It does seem like a ghostly light. I agree. I have said my entire life that we should not be afraid of death. It happens to all of us. Death is the reason for religion. Nice composition. Well framed. Focus is only fair but that is due to the fog. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

Such a well spoken photo. I love your choice to go black and white gives it that dramatic look of fear and sorrow, point of view well taken. Your subject is very clear and realistic lighting draws you in.Bravo well done

Your photo expresses your feeling well. I love the starkness of the BW with the fog at the end of the lane. It does remind one of stepping into the unknown. The road seems slightly tilted and raised, along with its shiny wet surface, gives me the feel that if you stay on the path all will be well.

thanks for sharing this beautifully presented photo in black and white.. The lonely road. Your notes are well appreciated and heartfelt , especially for those children who will be sadly missed by family and loved ones. The angle of your picture is perfect, giving great depth of field to the scene. I love the trees that frame this lonely road with their silhouetted shapes leading me towards the mist in the background. They almost appear to form a lovely archway over the road, enhancing the emotion of the scene. The grave stones, though fairly muted by the mist, gather feelings of sorrow and sadness for those now passed. The texture of the ground beneath the trees , adds a nice contrast to the sheen that glistens on the wet road. The mist and brightness at the end of the road draws my eyes into the scene and gives a feeling of the unknown.. of what lies beyond. Very serene atmosphere surrounds the scene. Excellent exposure and lighting and nicely balanced , which is appealing to the eye. Thanks for sharing this lonely road and your complimentary notes. cheers mel
