Nice catch. I think the duck had a good reason to be afraid. Love the detail you were able to catch. I really like the sense of movement captured by the water splashes. Good luck.

Wonderful entry for the contest... love this action shot! Technically powerful focus offering up grand splash and fabulous movement of each bird. Great natural color as well! Thanks for sharing and good luck!

This is also a nice shot of the action, but I think I prefer the other shot better. The down strok in that shot seemed to show the action better. You have done a good job of stopping the action with very sharp detail, even on the drops of water. The light in this one is starting to push the whites especially on the edges of the wing. Nicely seen and well shot.

I have an unfounded fear of swans and have seen many video of them protecting an area ferociously. This is an excellent photo that supports my claim that they are more dangerous than a hungry Trex

I have always heard that swans can be quite aggressive, and this must be the proof. The poor goose doesn't stand a chance. LOL I especially like the very good stop action, and how well the splashes of water are captured.

Your photo is also sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in both birds. I also think the exposure is fine.

The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and both birds are well placed within the frame. Indeed a great looking and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Great photo and contest entry. The long vertical format lets you see the whole story behind the photo. The colors of the reflections in the lake are stunning and look like a painting. Very nice lighting and composition. Good luck in the contest.

Sound as if there was a serious dispute over territory, but then again I am not an expert on birds! Your fine composition does capture a good action moment! Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done and good luck!

:):) Amusing. I like the energetic chase scene. and the goose appears to be fleeing for his life!:) You have timed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good luck!

Swans are a beautiful bird but from what I have seen and heard can be vicious. I guess they need to learn to share. I hope the little duck gets some of whatever he is after. Nice job, thanks for sharing.

And the race is on! This is a great action shot that shows how aggressive swans can be when agitated. Clearly this one does not wish to share the waterway with the goose. Best of luck in the contest.
