I have no idea who the Gibson girls are. American? Victorian? but I love this drawing, it is gorgeous. During my literature degree I studied one American artist as my spot light and found out that American women were way in front of Europeans of their time in emancipation.

WOW! Very nicely drawn. I like everything about this drawing. Very beautiful I truly understand why you like this style. Ladies dressed so beautifully back in the day. I really appreciate your admiration and it really shows in your work. Very well done! Good luck in the contest.

Such wonderful lighting over this image with detail perfection! I am so jealous, I can't draw at all... Aaaargh! I also very much enjoy the pose you have given her. Great facial features as well. Thanks for sharing and good luck!

a lovely presentation as usual from the great Linda , although i am not so keen on this one as your other presentations and i believe this may be because of the mixture and application of tones on the blouse ..it appears to me as though its lacking the depth unlike the rest of the form...

Hi Linda!
That's a fine looking drawing,my friend! : )
It kicks my imagination into high gear and I just can't help imagining what a wonderfully interesting picture it would be if you'd chosen to break with traditional ideas and drawn this 'Gibson Girl' as a 'Full' or
a 'Partial' Nude!
Her late nineteenth century hairstyle, her thrillingly good looks, and her evidently voluptuous figure would all suit themselves very nicely to that exciting style of figure drawing and your expertly developed style of shading and detailing would work magnificently towards making a truly fascinating drawing of a 'Gibson-esque' Nude!
As it is though it's quite an enjoyable work of art!
'Good Show',my friend!
~Sean

One needs no name here, your work is unique and lovely and has a style only you can own.
Ah yes the Gibson Girls of the 19th&20th century. Charlse Gibson used his sister and his wife as his models then added a few others over time.
Your work is always so real, elegant and has a photo like quality.
Beautiful vintage look showing amazing details on this lovely Gibson girl.
Fine work :)
