Beautiful capture of this red dahlia. I love the light and subtle shadows within each petal. The extra buds really
give it some extra beauty as
I can imagine a plant with many gorgeous red blooms.
The color is well displayed and the depth in this photo is outstanding.

Another beautiful shot. I have to admit that I haven't seen many florals from you. And, you do them well also I see. Love the lighting with the hint of sunlight playing on the petals causing highlights and shadows. Nice clear focus and framing of the flower.

Lovely capture of the gorgeous Dahlia in your garden, Pat. I like the angle you used for this, including the buds around it and showing all the intricate twists and shapes of the lovely petals. Excellent lighting and focus showing a lovely crisp image. Very good composition. Suzanne

I think that after the color White that Red is perhaps among the hard to get just right color.

You have handle that issue with grace and technical expertise - Kudos on such fine results.

I see ample visual evidence of a high degree of image resolution and fine detail.

The lighting is a little unequal from the outer petals into the center. a reflector will fill in just the right amount of light on the center. However, if you consider the direction of the ambient light you see that some of the petals are almost a translucent ruby red - This is a good thing, Yes?

Beautiful dominant central position of the blossom and as a kicker an unopened bud on the side equals masterful framing with loads of eye appeal and impact.

This is a keeper for sure, very nice camera work on display here, folks ... B-)) Bob

A very nice nature shot presented here. Your fine full and central composition grants us a very enjoyable look at both bloom and bud. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

Oh my, what a vibrant and full flower. I like the reflected light you captured on the tips of the petals and that you captured the bud on the right. This is just lovely.

Terrific capture of the pretty Dahila. It looks like the baby bud is hiding behind its mama. So cute in its yellow hull. Beautiful sharp petals in good details. Lovely light allowing the red to pop. Very nice angle and centering. Well framed. It is so pretty. Are they perennials? I might like to get some for my front garden.

Wow! Thank you so very much Linda ! I really appreciate your awesome review and this super six rating ! Thank you! !
Unfortunately these are annuals ! They even come in a variety that has a HUGE face, it?s called a Dinner Plate Dahlia , they are just gorgeous! I love these because the blooms last for a long time and they bloom all summer and into September!
