This is such a spectacular looking photo....and even if there is an "even" number.... most would yell at you to have at least 3....but not me (smile).... I love the blurred green background and how proudly these two fairies stand facing the heavens and letting us enjoy their presence even if just for a little while. I never heard of fairy irises; therefore, I am even more happy that you shared them with us. And to get 2nd place.....how wonderful for you. Congratulations......BRAVO BRAVO....clap, clap, clap.
I love the rectangular vertical look as well. It is perfect for this photo. This photo has all the bells and whistles to be noticed. Thanks for sharing.

It is a beautiful capture, which shows us why the flower got its name. The flower seems precious. I almost see fairies sitting in the center singing their lullabies to baby fairies.
You composition has elegance and softens, but the capture of the flowers is crisp. I admire the natural coloring. The background shows us that the Iris is in her environment, the shades of green in the background emphasize the flowers.

They are. I think they are devided from a rare wildform native to Wyoming and Montana. :o)

These are pretty flowers. I like the delicate texture of their petals and the frayed, wing-like edges on some of them are interesting. The softness of the color is attractive. I like how you captured the center designs with a three dimensional appearance. The tiny hairs stand out well.

They are delicate and feminine. I like the faintest touch of lavender at their throats. I like the muted leaves in the background. I have never seen white ones either and I am pleased that you posted them.
