This entry reminds me so much of Christmas time with its colors. Probably just an initial thought of seeing the deer and the red and green color. It's a very beautiful forest scene with a lovely viewpoint and perspective as I imagine it seen from the deers view. Beautiful work with the pastels and a wonderful entry for the contest. This one I really liked!

You truly are a master with the pastels. I love how you use them to create different textures and your strokes with them are amazing. I love using pastels also. You have done a great job at telling a story with your art. The bright red tree is a very nice touch, the balance of color is great! Overall very lovely to look at! Thank you for sharing!! :D

a pleasant pastal presentation with a good palette and a excellent structure to the piece . I particularly like your balance between the light seeping through ninth distance to the darker tones of the foreground

Gorgeous, and so peaceful looking. I'm really in love with this piece and your description of it. Love the meaning and thought from it. Perfect underbrush and lovely moss touch, so glad I saw this piece of art.

I think you did quite well and accomplished exactly what you wanted. It may be me, but the stag looks a little forlorn or something. Like he is looking for something. I like that as it gives a curious feeling. Makes the viewer think. Well done.

A gorgeous piece for the Forest Art Contest! Good visual impact....and the initial impact is the deer looking right at us. I like how your path draws us into your scene framed with the beautiful woods on each side. Beautiful use of colors and brush strokes and blending and shading of color. A creative and talented art work. Thanks for sharing. Good luck in the contest.

This is a really lovely work of art. Such soft and beautiful colors. Wonderful technique and texture.
Great interest and focal point. The deer looks so innocent and is displayed beautifully. Great proportions and color. I love your rock formations as the deer has just crossed between them.
Your foliage is wonderful with various soft colors.

Really well done and a true pleasure to view.
Best of luck in the contest, this is a lovely contender.
