Another nice shot Pat. You know, this kind of looks like a tropical fish feeding on some tasty bits does it not?
I love the light bits of red/purple and the soft lavender. The detail is amazing on this. I can see every fine nuance and bit of folds, crevices and spots.
The soft focus background works well to high light the subject. The soft lighting makes it quite strong and it reads well through out.
Nicely done (as always!!) lol!

Sounds like you have a giant flower on your hands there! It has quite a name too!! Your fine image benefits from being well composed with good exposure and sharpness. Nicely done!

I like the detail of he spots and texture of the flower.
For an aggressive plant it is beautiful in bloom.
Very well done.

Pat this is a beautiful shot of the blossom. The side view really let the viewer see the shape and textures of the flower. Nice color and definition, The inclusion of the other buds is good. The background is muted and does not conflict with the subject.Well seen.

Excellent close up, Pat, showing this interesting looking ornamental Jewelweed - don't think I've seen any growing here. I like the profile view showing its intricate shape very well against the softened background. Excellent lighting and focus showing great detail in the markings. Great composition. Suzanne

Pat,
A beautiful picture of this Jewelweed in profile seeming to glow in the light falling on it out from it's dark background. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I am so envious, our jewelweeds are either orange or yellow and don't get nearly as tall! Your gorgeous flower is well centered in your shot and the subtle lighting softly emphasizes the beautiful coloration and details of the blossom as well as the unopened buds.Darker green background really sets off the jewelweed flower. Curious, how large is this flower!? Thanks for sharing this great shot! :)
