These birds are considered rather ordinary where I live, but I think they are cute. Each one seems to have unique expressions on their face. You captured lovely detail right down to the tiny sharp looking claws. Nice light in the eye too.

I think this is a lovely shot.
The sparrow is clear and striking a nice pose.
The branches are also clear in the foreground while the background is nicely blurred.

Oh this little guy is so adorable. He is hanging on so tightly to the tiny branch as he is perched so carefully just right to keep his Balance. His little face shows such a touching expression. You have captured him magically. So amazingly detailed. Perfectly framed and presented.

This little lady just looks too pretty, and she is posing for you in such a lovely way. I especially like the neutral colored background and how well the bird is standing out from it.
Your photo is very sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the bird, and the exposure is perfect.
The photo is also nicely cropped and the bird has got a very good placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

What a cute little girl. Your timing was excellent. Her pose, the bend of the head, draws our attention. The colors are nicely natural. The gray background and the barren twigs indicate the winter season. The sparrow has fluffed her feathers withstanding the cold.
