Attractive colors and good composition. Since this artwork has received recognized status, I am certainly in the minority to have a suggestion. The sweet bird looks like he's being impaled by the green stem!

I see an attractive piece of original watercolor art by a signature artist whose talent and technical acumen is growing exponentially.

Compared to photography original art of this nature requires so much more from the artist in terms of emotion, psyche and technical skill.

In your case there is no going back now. Keep pushing yourself and don't stop for the creative genius who lives within does not stay fresh forever.

This is fine piece that stands on its own. All I would caution at this time is pay close attention to proportions - i.e. the birds feet and head.

Good color choices. The flowers look like a garden and the blue flowers are very delicate. The bird is great, but I find myself wishing he wasn't so tall.

Another really nice water color Linda. I love those pastel colors. The bluebird stands out from the softer colors and objects. Your watercolors are definitely getting better. I don't know anything about art work surfaces but it sounds like you are willing to experiment to get the perfect surface. Keep up the great work Linda ~ Steve
