You could have fooled me. Without reading the comments I would never know that you added a new background. You did exquisite work. There is even a crack in the wall and the light falling on the wall looks like coming from the window. This is an excellent still life which features interesting objects. It has good color harmony and is well composed, balanced and framed.

I like what you've done with this shot of the old-fashioned way of cleaning your hands and face, Annie. I remember as a small child staying in a boarding house one summer holiday and there was a jug and water in the bedroom like this, which I'd never come across before. I love all the blues in this which makes it an ideal entry for the contest. I like how you positioned them. Very good lighting and focus. Lovely composition. Suzanne

I like what you've done with this shot of the old-fashioned way of cleaning your hands and face, Annie. I remember as a small child staying in a boarding house one summer holiday and there was a jug and water in the bedroom like this, which I'd never come across before. I love all the blues in this which makes it an ideal entry for the contest. I like how you positioned them. Very good lighting and focus. Lovely composition. Suzanne

This is one of my favorites in the contest. I love the simplicity of the scene with the items neatly set as if waiting for the guests to freshen up. The blues work so well. Great work as always Annie ~ Steve

This brings me back to my childhood staying with old Aunts in London she would wake us up as she brought in the jug of hot water for us to wash before breakfast, & then at boarding school the Nun waking us with a prayer as she filled our basins with tepid water... Beautiful composition framing & lighting to show off the beauty of the painted China bowl & jug/pitcher. Taken with superb camera techniques and, sharp focus.
