Now this is landscape painting ! I ran out of sixes so a five will have to do ! I feel as if I am in the painting I love how you handled the light coming in I mean it looks so natural and warm ! The composition is wonderful The mountains are just magnificent and big and the Moose looks so small in stark contrast . The minor problem I have are the geese ! I feel the painting would have been fine without them they are a distraction for me . Overall this is an Epic work !

I really wanted to review this because it is striking, yet forbidding. I am not sure what is involved in digital art such as this. This looks like a photograph but the dark clouds at the top don't strike real, is that meant to be? They could be billows of smoke. The light on the animals and trees fits but around the lake looks smudged.
I like the dark band that suggests the lights of civilization and the way the mountains rise almost as if they are separate to the planet. It is quite stunning.

Thank you for your review. Having been raised around mountains in the Bavarian alps, I can attest that the dark bellowing clouds are quite typical of this environment during the late evening hours just before dusk. Also, not any part of this image could possibly be smudged or blurred unless you are seeing this on a low-resolution (perhaps VGA) computer screen. This was produced on a 4K, HD monitor having four times the resolution available on most computer monitors which run at 1080p or less.In short, the background, as seen on a 4K screen, is as crisp as all of the foreground areas of the image.

What a grand scene. It reminds me of Yellowstone Park with the Tetons in the background. Such fine details especially in the mountains and the trees on the left. I wish I had a Six to award this outstanding work. I believe we all get replenished with our six's on Sundays/Mondays (?) so it might be an idea to wait to post when everyone is able to award a work like this the recognition it most assuredly deserves. So my Highest Cyber Six on this marvelous work Dieter ~ Steve

Oh my Goodness! This looks like my home! The mountains standing proudly in the back, clouds hovering above and touching the peaks, the tall evergreens on the left, the pebbles at the waters edge, the lake with a moose standing right in the shallow part, the sun illuminating him, I see his partial reflection too! A flock of gulls ! This is so very well created, it's so very realistic, this is a beautiful scene! I liked your poem as well! Well presented!

Congrats on 15. I cannot stress how perfect this shot is; the colors are amazing. The elk is the perfect addition to the crisp mountains; you can just smell the fresh air and enjoy the outdoors.

Well constructed piece that creates a sense of the beauty to be found in nature. The mountains make a great backdrop for this scene . The geese(?) flying across the scene above the lake help to hold the eye into the work. The moose is well placed. Nice color and moody lighting. Well done.
