I love how detailed this bush is behind her. You also did an excellent job in the shading. Everything about her body looks real. I wish you the best in the contest.

Dear Jesuel, this is my favorite of your magnificent works. She is beautiful. I love your background. She is demure, and feminine, and vulnerable. I love her hair. Excellent.

Wow! This is a stunning portrait of your beautiful friend. I love the realism you have created in her face with those gorgeous eyes and your expert blending and shading the skin tones. Those beautiful skin tone against the dark dress is exquisite. So many wonderful and talented elements of yours displayed in this art work. Nice interplay with light and shadows giving us a glimpse of her personality. Love the highlight in the hair and it's movement. I love this! Outstanding and creative work! Thanks for sharing.

Very nice drawing James. Very nice indeed. In my opinion this is one of your best. The dual strong light sources that plays both on the figure and the background with the same intensity creates a feeling of dimensionality. A difficult achievement. Good use of space with that black dress. And, the expression relays a high degree of emotion in a subtle manner. This is one beautiful drawing. Reasons for my six star vote.

Your artwork is wonderful! I really love the expressions in the face and eyes! The hair blowing across the face adds even more drama and the texture of the background is wonderful. The arms may need to be looked at a little more but overall it is wonderful!

This really stands out! I love your gold and black color palette (right word?) here; the girl's expression and stance. One of the things I notice is backgrounds, and you could not have handled this more expertly than you did here! In my opinion, the background texture and shading is perfect for showing off this subject. It not only appears to illuminate her, as though she were standing against granite and gold, but the rough texture shows off her smooth contours! Very impressive! Also, personally, I think the right clothing respects as well as shows off the female form better. Your painting of the Bo Derek like figure against the sunset is a masterpice of the nearly nude though. (I worked for actress Bo Derek for a while running hers and her husband, John's horse farm, and as a vicarious "perk" developed quite a few opinions about how the nude female should be displayed -- my opinions!) I love this pastel painting because it is so classical in its concept and execution. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked well. Good effort!
