I do love butterflies, most of my own photos are butterflies.
That painted lady nectaring on the flower is gorgeous, I love how it stands out with that pink background as well as the flower.
Nice focus on all of the detail on the wings.

Nice shot! I like the look of this photograph. The colors are pretty and the detail is good. This butterfly is one of my favorites. I have a lot of shots of them, some on flowers almost like this. Good luck with your contest!
