When I was in the army and had temporary duty in White sands, N.M I seen something like this out there..course I felt the sand hitting my face in the gust. This is cool. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this dust storm is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

I would give this six stars if I could. The tree on the right has such beautiful definition and character. It stands out giving this fantastic depth. The sand is shocking as how fine it is. Another perfected photo. Great job!

This scene looks so Biblical. It makes me thirsty and I feel lost putting myself beside that tree. You are successful in showing us a desolate place, and you have done it with real artistry.

This is great clear shot showing the kind of weather that blows fine dirt into everything -- your hair, your clothes and your lungs. The fine patterns of sand hovering in the foreground show the ever shifting landscape according to the whim of the wind. A beautiful photo! Daphne Oberon

I wouldn't want to be out in that , I can see the fine sand, very good details and depth, has great colors,
You would not want to leave you newly painted car out in this, the paint would be sand blasted off, a pleasure to look at, thank you for sharing, dale

Very excellent capture of the sand storm with an excellent view of the surrounding nature. This exemplifies a dessert setting with excellent color as well as detail. A very cool capture,
and a pleasure to see.

You have indeed taken a lot of great looking photos from Namibia, and this photo is no exception. I am glad you told me I am seeing sand been lifted by the sand, because it for sure looks like fog. I have a soft spot for photos with fog, and after this, also for blowing sand.

The tree on the right is still standing out sharp and well defined against the background, and the exposure is very good.

The cropping is fine, and the tree has got a very good placement off to the right. I think this is a truly beautiful and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.

Very atmospheric. A different side of Namibia. I like the clarity of the trees in the foreground, contrasting with the sandstorm. Excellent work.

A very nice shot. The scene is attractive and the open areas show the sandstorm very well. A beautiful composition with the kind of colors I would expect in a sandstorm.
