A beautifully composed shot. The curve of the road is just fantastic and I like the misty look of the mountains. The black and white image is beautiful and I can't imagine it being more dramatic in color.

Black and White is perfect for this. It see indeed to represent the cold beauty and mystery of a rainy day in late autumn or early winter. The rain seems to freeze on the walking way and the dry grass. The trees are already barren and seem asleep until the spring sun will awaken them to a new life circle. The dark sky and misty mountains in the background amplify the moody scenery. The photo is well composed The curved walking way leads us nicely to the background the low light is sufficiently used and the photo is well framed and balanced.

I agree that this captured the mood much better than color. I love all the different angles of the landscape. Good angle for the shot. The cloudy sky just going over the mountains creates lots of interest. Awesome capture.

A beautiful picture of Resurrection Bay with the rain falling from those clouds skimming over the mountains on the far side of the bay, the bare branches trees on the right & the path shining in the foreground. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
