I wonder what will happen to Alaska when they bring in climate control. Africa will become great they tell us, but what of the north. Straight after that they told us after WW3 and WW4 /looming now on the horizon, there will be an ice age again. All that beauty will be hidden under deep ice and snow, Germany will become a salt plain, useless etc as they shake up nature with bombs and gases. My Alaska progr 'sare in winter now! I note that the fir trees are deep green though all is autumnal!

Thank you so very much! I don?t even want to think about what will happen, we have had a solid week with lots of aftershocks from the earthquake, I just want it to settle down for a while!

Great angle for the shot. I love the fall color in the foliage. It looks as though there is an old building nestled along the bluffs on the other side of the water. I like the fencing in the distance that leads the eye up to the top. Focus and lighting are well done. A joy to view.

Another of your great landscape photos, Pat.
There are just so many beautiful places there.
It makes Ohio seem so boring. We do have a few here but you really have
to search. That is one gorgeous scene and I would love to take that hike.

I really like this shot because it tells a nice "story." You can feel the coldness in the atmosphere given the fall colors and the desolation of the site in Alaska. I'll bet that water is COLD!!

A grand looking landscape with autumnal colours all around! Fine clarity and framing. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Naturally framed monochromatic foreground off setted by a visually soothing cloudless pale blue sky.

Diminishing perspective leads us to farther flora.
Vanishing viewpoint lends more depth.
Refreshing water feature.

Good perspective & long depth of field...

Thanks for sharing...

Quite an interesting scene and accompanying notes presented here! Your nice image is well composed, sharp with good exposure. Just wondering what is bear protection? Here in the UK bears were hunted to extinction centuries ago. Nicely done!

Thanks so much for your thoughtful review! Bear protection is bear mace to spray temporarily disabling the bear, or a gun , it?s also good to be in a group and make plenty of noise so we don?t ever come up on a Bear by surprise! If a bear has a moose kill that they are protecting , they will attack anyone or anything that comes near, this location is known for bears .

A great perspective that lets you look down on the river and still show the steep terrain. The fall colors are beautiful and the composition is very nice.
