Love this. One of my paintings that I sold for the most money ever for me was of sunflowers. Love how alive they seem. You have caught great shadows vs the light ones.

This is a very original photo to have taken. I like the feeling I get when looking at it. Although strange you have captured the wonderful colors of a field of these beautiful flowers and the shadows that they cast of the field of soil.

This is a very different capture of sunflowers. I have never seen them all turned in one direction before. Your focus is good and lighting is excellent. Thanks for sharing this.

This is great Fred! I like the unique perspective and the interesting patterns this side of the flowers make which I find aesthetically appealing. The sheer number of the flowers is spectacular and the colors look great too.

Ha! One Sunflower said to the other: "Fred's here! TURN!" ;)
I actually like this unique from the behind view of this field of sunflowers.
Fine focus, exposure and different POV.
Nice work Fred :)

Yes...will have to research to read up on them.

Sunflowers turn their faces toward the sun as they track it across the sky -- an activity known as heliotropism, or solar tracking. Special motor cells at the bases of the flower buds shrink or enlarge as they absorb water, which moves their faces toward the sun.
