A very nice shot that shows the full spread of his wings from a fine perspective. The entire bird is well shown and the detail in his wings is outstanding. Best of luck in the contest.

Wow, nice angle from which you shot this. It really shows a completely different aspect of the heron. Without the long legs, and his wings fully outstretched and showing him from the angle, I see what a very big bird he really is. I love the greys and black. His black hat. Great job.

A fantastic stop action picture of the Grey Heron touching down on the bank the impact causing some of it's softer feathers to curl up at their tips while the stiff flight & tail feathers stand out clearly & could be counted. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
