Nice job on this!
Love the whole space bug thing.
Colors are solid and it has a great feel and pop.
My one comment is the bit of white on the orange planet. I feel like this should be darker rather then almost white. Throws it off a bit.
Thanks for sharing!

A great drawing especially for a kid on his tenth birthday. The red suit and mask makes your character stand out as a superhero and the rocket powered praying mantis is a very fine way to get around.

Ha! That reminds me of the old Hippie saying: "Don't bug me man, Don't bug me!"

Oh I am sure he will get a kick out of this one Mark. Great idea of the Mantis with the Star Trek Enterprise engines (although I bet if you ask him who Mr. Spock is he will give you a blank stare lol.)

Great work Troop. Keep on truck'in ~ Top

That's a pretty awesome bug! Not only is he gigantic but he has jet powered engines :) Your signature bold colors and pointillism style details look great. Those birthdays sure do come around too quickly, don't they?!

That must be the newest invention of silicon-bug-valley. I guess this is the prototype of the super fast flying bug-spaceship.
I am sure your grandson wi9ll get a kick out, but maybe you keep bug-man in your mind. He looks to me like a leading character for a future video. I like how the drawing is composed. Bug-man is nicely placed at center. The colors are well balanced with the dark of the background. The drawing has a nice three-dimensional appearance. The big orange planet emphasizes bug-man and his ride. The small colorful planets and the little stars are well placed and look good on the black background.

I am sorry I don't review your work very often, but it is mostly because I have difficulties judging this kind of art. But you for sure have a vivid imagination, and I can see that you are good at what you are dong.

It is easy to see that this is done paying very good attention to details, and your work with the sharpies is excellent.

I especially like the dark background in this image, because everything is then standing out really well. I also appreciate the crisp and clear colors.

The format and framing works well, and I think it is a fine balance in the composition. This is well done, and I am sure your grandson will love it.

Mark,
A beautiful picture of BigMan in his red space suitsitting astride his rocket powered Praying Mantis, approaching the yet unexplored Orange Planet . Created by your very skilful draftsmanship, beautiful choice blending & application of your colours in bringing this scene to life.
