Wow! Great action shot here. I love that you captured him not with the fish just in his beak but, the beak right through the fish. The wing position is really attractive. Nice stop action of the splash of water. The log in the foreground is a very nice added element. Nicely done.

Very nice photograph. This herons wing span is outrageous. I've never seen a grey heron with red in his wings. It looks like he just grabbed that fish and is now standing tall, and ready to take off. You got this pic with the fish flailing and creating a splash. Great work.

Great capture of the action! Perfect timing to capture this moment that the heron comes out of the water with the fish in it's mouth and the water splashing around it. Excellent sharpness and detail. Great light and color.

Seems like I have seen this stump before. It seems like the heron has caught some kind of salt water fish. A beautifully composed image with great details and fine colors. Best of luck in the contest.
