This just goes to show that some old adages like "oil and water don't mix" could stand an update. An interesting image with great abstract form and beautiful colors.

Innovative concept.
Imaginative approach.
Creative dynamic presentation.

Subdued illumination & subtle colors.
Are they boiled veggies?

The bubbles add texture to this abstract image.
Thanks!

This looks like an abstract painting. Your materials are very unusual, but the outcome is perfect. You are very creative. You have the photo exquisitely framed. The composition is balanced. I like the vivid colors and how the colors change from dark to light shades. The little bubbles are pin-sharp, a nice contradiction to the swirling colors.

Experimenting is always fun, because the outcome is so often surprising. :o)

I really do like this! I would like to try this. I really like the colors and the patterns the bubbles are making. Was this taken through a glass pot or was you just shooting straight down?

Thank you so much Willie, this was fun! This is a stainless steel pot and I am looking down , I will try this again and I thought about using food coloring too

I bet the food coloring would be neat. Start off with the lighter colors and just keep shooting until it gets too dark. I do like this and I am going to try it! Thanks for the idea!

If it is good enough I will. I also will have to do it first. I am terrible procrastinator.

This is very interesting. At first I thought it looked like a painting. I like the brightly colored yellow spots with those drops of water around it. Well done and thanks for sharing this creative photo with us. :)

Pat,
An interesting picture looking through the bubbles bubbling up as the water boils glistening in the light the added oil adds areas of gold. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

This is an interesting piece of photography. I love the muted abstract shapes and colours! The light, and the composition have worked well. Good effort.
