Main issue is that the focus is misplaced - the ground behind the dog is sharper than the dog. This dog is built for speed but that is not demonstrated by this static poise. Nice soft and non intruding background.

Thank you for your review, I find the focus on my image quite good, I think where you have gone wrong, It is soft in front of its front legs where I cloned some rubbish out. The focus on the shingle is good from front to back including the dog. On your image in the same contest, I find everything out of focus apart from the carpet 2 inches in front of the dog. Sweet looking dog, Maybe you should have used more DOF. It will be interesting to see the results of the contest.

This photo is amazing . The background has the perfect blend and lighting the dog is perfect centered the brown sand rocks shells mix is a bonus to the photo . Love it the colors are great . Congratulations
