Great shot of Blue Jay Willie. I like how you frame blue jay and sharpness is all round perfect. You see detail in blue jay fur and eyes. Nicely done.

This is a very unusual shot of a blue jay. He looks as though he knows he is being photographed and has a lot to say about it too. Good job on capturing this pose!

Nice head shot, and good focusing. It looks like the bird is posing for you. The eye appears to be looking straight at you. The bird looks real regal with it's nose up in the air.

This is a stunning photograph! The detail that shows through is amazing. From the individual feathers, to the pupil in his eye. Composition is also great! You really used the rule of thirds, and I love that!

A truly magnificent photo closeup showing superb detail on this lovely jay with the very intelligent eye! Love his expression and blue, silver and black markings! I would love to see a photo or a realistic painting of a bluejay like this, a red cardinal and yellow oriole together, though probably they would not get along in close proximity!... Daphne Oberon

Excellent portrait of this Blue Jay, Willie. The focus and detail in his face is really nice. I love that you can see the texture of his feathers, especially under his beak. The light shining on his face makes this very appealing to view. Soft muted background creates a very nice canvas. Nice work!

This is a perfect close up.
Your focus is spot on. The detail you have captured is exquisite, Even textures of the single feathers are well shown. The light reflection in the dark eye is especial impressive. I appreciate the natural-realistic colors. The DOF is perfect. The shallow background emphasizes the bird excellently. The profile view is intriguing. The bird is well placed into the frame. The photo is balanced.
