The colors in this image are very nice. I really like the richness of the flower. The sharpened areas on the flower and the butterfly bring out a shiny texture that is attractive.

A beautiful picture of this beautiful Red Spotted Purple Butterfly ~ Limenitis arthemis astyanak sucking nectar from the beautiful scarlet Gerber Daisy, glowing out from it's background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

You have indeed pictured this butterfly well Willie, and I especially like the colorful flower which brightens this photo so much. I also like the color and the softness of the background, and how well the butterfly and flower is standing out from it.
Your photo is just pin sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen both in the butterfly and the flower. The exposure is spot on.
The cropping is just perfect and the butterfly has got a fine placement off to the right. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Nice rich capture. The angle of the shot of this butterfly on this colorful flower is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Hi Willie, this looks like a painting, it's beautiful! I love the position of the butterfly in the frame and that gorgeous vibrant red/ orange sunflower! The butterfly shows beautiful detail in its black and white body and the brown wings with white spots on the outer edges with the orange and blue spots on the lower wings, this is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is perfect, the colors and tones are natural. Well composed and presented!
