I like the attempt of high key photography. The dog and his toy are well emphasized by the snowy background. The dog is well focused. The photo shows well defined detail of face and fur. I like especial the snow on his nose. It shows well that he got tired from playing in the snow an needs a break. The dog is well placed into the framing. The tight framing is adequate. The photo is balanced.

Aw! How cute. Very good entry for the contest. Lovely capture of your gorgeous Shiloh taking a break from playing with his frisbee in the snow, with snow still clinging to his nose. Very good lighting and focus. Excellent composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

Shiloh is a very handsome golden boy. I have met two other golden retreiver named Shiloh. I used to call my golden retreiver, my golden girl. Her name was Layla. What a very special breed dog. Layla took Lucy under her wing when Lucy joined us at 10 weeks old. She taught Lucy to chase the ball. Taught her to jump off the edge of the pool to swim out and fetch. I could see Layla handing the baton off to Lucy. We lost Layla to cancer about 5 years ago. Your Shiloh is beautiful, with those silky gold feathers and sweet eyes. A very nice photo. I miss Layla.

Thank you. I am very sorry for your loss,I know that pain all too well. Shiloh is my fourth golden,I lost all the others to cancer. My previous boy,Raven, was 6 when he was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma.Chemo gave me 6 more moths with my precious boy,we were able to celebrate his 7th birthday,Christmas and New Year.He will have been gone 5 years this April.I miss him,as well as the others so very much;my first, and only girl,Ninja, has been gone 29 years, and i still grieve for her,it?s a heartbreak you never truly get over. :( LeeAnn

I love this photo! The focus is perfect. It looks like the viewer is really there the hair is so clear. Kudos that your snow is white--you got perfect white balance. And my goodness, playing frisbee in the snow sure does tucker a fella out! ;-)

Somebody's back and still playing in the snow. Good color that really stands out against the white. Quizzical look and cocked head are amusing, I think he wants to blow the snow off. Nice focus on the eyes. Well done image. Good luck in the contest.

There he is , taking a break after fetching his green frisbee ! He's a beautiful golden boy with a bit of snow on his nose! He is well focused , this image is clear, exposure is well managed, his golden tones just shine in the light, he stands out beautifully against the white snow! I love his name too! Best wishes to you and Shiloh in this contest!

A beautiful shot that is very well composed. I like the pose and the great eye contact. Colors are a bit over saturated but the detail is fantastic. Best of luck in the contest.
