Beautiful picture! What a plump little fellow. It looks like he's wedged between those two branches. Haha. Very sharp photo and nice framing with the branches. I usually like a little more saturation. Just personal preference though. Great photo.

Striking blue gray,salmon pink,on the breast,;and,his cap,a jet black.The webbing of branches,including the one,he straddles,against the greenery,makes this a lovely composition
Cordially,

Wonderful image here, i really like the detail of the birds feathers here that shine through. The expression on the bird is pretty cool and perhaps doesn't look all that happy. Good job

This is a cute pose. I think it's amusing how his chest is pressed against he branch as though he could stand to lose a little weight! His markings stand out nicely. I don't think we have these guys in my part of the world.

    Grace,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Eurasian Bullfinch that are native to Europe, parts of Asia & Japan. There is a dark Species found in Cuba & some of those have escaped into the Southern States.

This is a great photo of this little guy (or should I say big guy? Haha). It looks like he is resting his belly on the branch for relief as though he is tired! I have recently started painting birds and enjoy seeing photos of them as well! Thanks for sharing.

    Brady,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this male Bullfinch waiting for a signal from his mate to join her on the Feeder. He's not as fat as he appears as his feathers are puffed out.

I love the story behind this picture! Of course the woman is the boss! Anyway, great colors captured here, it sure is a fat bird! Great capture! Good luck in the contest!

For sure as he look already very settled in his belie position
I love the angle and the way you placed him in your frame - I think this is a genuine shot with natural color saturation, lighting and softness - clear and sharp it is a nice shot making me smile , thanks for sharing

Well, I'm a 'fatboy' too and I'm pretty sure my wife loves me anyway, so I can relate to this guy ;) This is a very clear and well-focused shot. It looks like he is resting, wedged between the two branches (also something I can relate to - haha!). He has beautiful coloring, and you captured it well.

such a beautiful bird. I love his stance and that hmph expression. I often notice how humans have similar expressions and stances and how we all seem to resemble an animal anyway. I don't mean to be rude saying this, but when you are always drawing faces, it becomes clear.

This chubby little bird is so cute. I love how he is set in this picture with the branches in the foreground standing out sharply against the blurred background. It is a lovely picture and I would be proud of it if I were the photographer. Beautiful piece of photography!

You are very welcome, Susan. I wish we had a bullfinch in our neighbourhood but I don't even know if this cute bird ever comes to Canada. I just love fat little birds.
