I have never heard about these flowers before, but they sort of remind me of Calla Lilies. The strong yellow colors are striking, and I especially like the close and personal approach showing off the seeds so well.
The photo is very sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the flowers, and the exposure is perfect.
The format you have cropped the photo into works really well and the two blooms have got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This yellow is bright and eye catching. Very unusual looking flowers that I have not seen before. The colors are perfect for the Spring and Easter season. The stalks centers have great textures and patterns.

Very nice shot. Nicely framed. I get flack from some members for cutting the tips of my subjects, but I think it brings the focus to the center stamen. So the clipping of op tip and left side doesn't bother me. Like I said, it immediately drew my eyes to the center tall two. And I think you included just enough of the surrounding petals to put it all into perspective. Very nicely done.

Wow. This is really In Your Face Dramatic Nik. Those yellows are so vivid I had to put my sunglasses on to get the details.
Great focus and dramatic coloring. Good composition in the scene.
Definitely a real contender in the contest as far as I am concerned. Definitely Out of the Box cool.
