I have to respect your phones capabilities with this photo. I really like the suns rays coming out from behind the clouds and the way the light reflects on the clouds and water. The silhouettes of the boats are a nice added interest. So very nice

Good strong image Steve and a good strong sunset,the various boats add a bit of interest as well,the only thing I can see that might have improved this is to have taken it a bit earlier and got a bit more detail without ruining the silhouette effect...Brian

Five month vacation, that cool. Very nice shot. You have captured the sky and God rays very well, they literally glow. Good color that really make the scene. The back light on the clouds shapes them and brings them out. The mountain base makes a grounding point for the sun. I like the barely visible boats on the water and the reflection but wonder if they shouldn't be just a bit brighter. (That could also be my monitor not being set as high as yours.) Well seen and photographed.

Thank you Charles for your sharp observation. Yes it was too dark and there was not enough color reflecting on the water. I made some changes and I think it looks better now. Thanks again for pointing out the needed changes ~ Steve

This is truly beautiful. I assume the rays splaying upward are added? Very nice touch. It would have been a great photo for Song Title contest (which they had more of), I think of "Knocking on Heaven's Door", and so many more. It is not only beautiful but provides a great story telling opportunity.

Thank you so very much for your artistic review and cool comments. Yes it would be a good scene for several songs. The rays were Not added. It was one of those sunsets with the clouds in just the right place to produce the rays. This often happens from this this POV on lake Chapala. Most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.
