Sean, very warm and heart-wrenching photo.

I love visiting the graveyards in our area. (I even have a ghost hunt I am attending this coming friday at an old school!

This one is so old and so full of character on that stone.

Well done.

Super sad, but also a very mysterious and interesting find. It makes for a great photo and you did a wonderful job capturing it. Similar to how seeing an old scroll is exciting, so is this. Thanks for sharing!

this series is really amazing and touching. with the full name, is less of a mystery but at least fully identified, without anyone to remember. they say after two generations a large percentage of us are completely forgotten. the markings are so clear. and with your photo study, you have given this ill-fated child, the attention he deserves.

A sad reminder of a sad moment in the long forgotten past. Where in the world did you take this? Your fine and angled composition offers us a good look at that old marker. Exposure and composition are good. Nicely taken!

    You're welcome.
I usually include information regarding the location of these grave markers in the notes that accompany them.

Nice one Sean. I always find it so interesting to wander through old grave yards. There are many really old ones in rural Tennessee. I often wonder what their life was like and what impact they had on those they interacted with in life.

Great story here Sean. Nicely done ~ Steve

This is a very sad find. I like how much care was put into the design of the headstone and the carving of the little lamb at the top, I like how the details remained intact after so much time has passed.

This is a photo that saddens me. You have done a very heart-touching piece of photography and it is done extremely well. I think you have positioned the grave stone very well. Every detail in the photo stands out exceptionally well. I have no criticism for this piece.

I guess memories are for the living and these little memorials really just serve to conjure up the memories. A very nice image. The inscription is still very legible after all these years.
