Very nice stop action and artistically beauty of a capture showing the full wing span.
Your shutter speed was perfect to stop the action with such clarity. Crop is a tad tight on right but you managed to get the wing tip in. ; ) Whew!

This is a delightful photo of a landing heron. Good capture of colour on water and details of bird especially the moment of outspread wings. Your notes are brief i wondered where you got this great shot it is quite special.

I think this is a beautiful capture! I enjoy the gorgeous wingspan and how the legs and feet are just dangling as he lands. I think they look great from behind when the wings are spread. The head plumes look great too.

Thank you for the review. I don't usually photograph birds from the back but I like the way this shows the feathers and the long wingspan of this heron.
