The texture of the dog's fur makes me want to run my fingers through her fur and the girls eyes are gorgeous and mesmerizing. Your shadowing is great, but the girls hair could be reworked so not to appear flat, but rather like the dog's fur. A little lighter background could bring the figures forward. The girls face and fog are fantastic!

You have done a wonderful piece of work. The only thing I would change is to do a bit more work on her nose. The darker line delineating the nose does not look quite right to me. Other than that, it is perfect to my eyes and I love the dog especially.

Diane, it's getting better and better! The background shows depth. You removed some unwanted details such as the chain, and leopard like cloth on the right. You improved Crystals eyes. Her arm makes a good frame. I think you also improved her eyes ( my favorite part). The portrait looks better without the photo you added first to compare in the corner. Anyway, you made nice progress!!! You're not satisfied with your work because you are the perfectionist, just lIke my mom. I hope your daughter likes her portrait as much as I do. Talanted wokt, my friend!!!

You have done a good job. I think the dog is very well done and his fur caress ably real. I think you problem with Crystal is that he forehead is too high. I suggest bringing her head band quite a bit towards her nose, making her face a bit squarer.

thank you Cammy for your advise. Believe it or not, this is the second work of the same painting. this first one has he forehead even longer LOL. She really doesn't have a long forehead either, but when she wears her hair back like this, and puts her head down, it looks it LOL, I did shorten it, but have to agree it still looks huge..no insult on my daughter by no means, just my work L|Ol
thank you for your advise and kind words
