Grace,
A beautiful picture of this Green Heron running across the Splatter Dock & Lilly leaves. His green back blending in with the leave while his cinnamon coloured breast contrasts with them. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

haha! Funny you should say that, because my first thought was that he looks like The Roadrunner trying to sneak by Wily Coyote. The background is a bit 'busy', but it is nicely focused and the heron still stands out well against it. Nice shot!

You have captured a great pose! I like how the feathers are sticking up on the top of his head. The position of his foot shows that he's walking. Excellent sharpness and beautiful colors.

so, hey, I just saw one of these at my favorite pond yesterday,,they are loud, that is how I saw it lol,,but I was really far but the photo I took came out pretty good, I will post it soon,,first time I saw one ever!
