Beautiful photograph of this alert Waxwing! Impeccable focus, even when zooming in on the bird to see his eye, all his plumage remained in focus, as did the foliage. Off center right, with his gaze in the same direction is a great attribute in the composition. Good lighting as well. Great job!

Perfection.....I like how well you captured the eye with that catch light. Nicely framed and well composed shot....and I like the off center placement of the Cedar Waxwing. It is a long time since I saw these lovely birds, but once they used to visit my garden in big flocks. You have pictured this beauty so well sitting on a tuja branch, and the blue sky is the perfect background for the bird to stand out in an excellent way.
The photo is pin sharp and it is clear and well defined details both in the bird and the branch, and the exposure is perfect.
The format and framing could not have been better, and the bird has got a perfect placement a bit off to the right. A truly lovely and well taken photo Grace, and with an excellent DOF.
