Amazing focus an such little insects, and you captured them so well. I like that the background is not a distraction for the action (!). The shadow is very cool... Looks like together they made a heart! Beautiful iridescent wings, too!

Love these amazing little insects. They are often hard to catch as they don't stay in one place very long.and are hard to spot. Great focus and color. Lighting is great for shooting into the sun with great shadows. Really nice initial impact.

Wonderful macro of these insects (damselflies) which are so tiny.
You have brought to the viewer an up and personal look at their delicate bodies.
I like how their wings have a glitter of pink on them in the sunlight.
Very well captured and great composition. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Amy!
I'm not so sure about the 'love' part of it but they're obviously being obediant to one of Nature's most important Biological Imperatives!
And you've captured this pair of them doing so wonderfully!
'Good Show',my friend!

Sean, Sean, Sean. Can't you see the heart shape shadow their unison has created? It's love. Bug love. I love bugs. But not snakes or spiders! LOL As always thanks so much for taking the time to review this and for your continued support. Aimee

What are they doing? I like the colors and the shapes the bugs make on the fence post. The shadows of the insects is an added plus to the overall quality of the photograph. I like the background color played against the soft white branch. Thanks for sharing your photograph of mating insects. Thanks

A very nice shot that shows the mating behavior in fine detail. The colors are good and the perspective is excellent. I especialy like the shadow. Best of luck in the contest.

A very good entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and traditional composition offers us an enjoyable view of that prancing pair. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done and good luck!

This is a wonderful shot of nature. You have shot the damselfies in action! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good luck!

I like how you captured the light reflecting on the wings. I like all kinds of dragonflies :) These guys look like orange damselflies. I like the heart-shaped shadow that their weird mating habits cast onto the wood, lol!

I love that you get this. Isn't it fabulous, the whole thing looks almost abstract, doesn't it. I always see design first, nature second. I LOVE dragon and damselflies. Thanks for taking the time to review this and the others. I truly appreciate the input. Aimee
