I really like the simplicity of this photo Barbara, and the reflections from the sitting duck are so well captured in the Mirror like water. The light is also falling on the Mallard in a lovely way.
The photo is very Sharp showing Clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is spot on.
The photo is so nicely cropped and the duck is well placed off to the right. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and With and excellent DOF.

Nice capture of this beautiful male mallard. You did a wonderful job in capturing the iridescence of the head feathers which are always such an eye catcher. Good positioning of the duck in the frame with the surrounding blue water. Well done Barbara ~ Steve

Love the colours of these ducks, the reflection is cool as well, they are almost shiny and kind of looks like the water only touches them on the surface and not the skin, really pretty.

Wow that is very still water and you have captured the Mallard and reflection nicely against the beautiful blue water. The color of the head really pops. The plumage of the duck looks a little too smooth to be natural but overall a nicely presented image.

Thank you so much for the great review! The overly smooth plumage must have happened when I uploaded the photo to FAR. When I view it on my computer (not on FAR) there is a lot of nice texture in the plumage.
