what a strange looking duck, of course never seen before even in a zoo; I like the beautiful array of colors of the male; sharp focus with excellent eye contact;

A very nice shot. Is that a female behind the male? Very nice composition with excellent sharp eyes on both subjects and great natural looking colors.

Thanks very much Mike - I think it was the female keeping close to the male.

This is a well taken photo.
The close up view is attractive. The photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I admire the sharpness and refinement of detail. The colors are realistic. The Ducks are excellently placed within the frame. The tight framing is adequate. The composition is balanced.

beautiful detail on the bird in full view. Beautiful feathers and you have done a great job capturing it. I like the one behind who may be camera shy but is still peaking over his buddy.

A pretty good nature shot posted here! Your fine and off-centre composition offers us an enjoyable view of that pair of ducks. Like those yellow eyes. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely taken!

These are beautiful ducks and you have photographed them very well. I like the way they are posed with the one in back looking over the shoulder of the one in front. I see good detail on both ducks, in their feathers, faces and bills, they are well focused, this image is sharp and clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. I especially appreciate the clear eyes on both ducks. Well composed and presented! Your notes are informative and appreciated too!
