This is a wonderful shot of the bird enjoying his breakfast !:). You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

S beautiful picture of this Crested Shrike-tit with an insect clamped in it's beak the blue sky making a beautiful contrasting backdrop to the Shrike-tit's blue & yellow plumage. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

I like that you captured the bird with food in its beak. Seemingly the Crested Shrike caught a big bug. I enjoy the detail and the realistic colors of your photo. The photo is focused, well exposed and has good depth. The bird stand nicely out from the shallow background. The background is unobtrusive. The bird is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

A quite good nature photo posted here for us to enjoy! Your fine and off-centre composition gives us an lovely look at your handsome bird with its catch. Like the feather detail. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well taken!

This is an awesome shot! Nicely captured and presented! Ecxellent contrast and details of the bird. The branch of the tree makes it more interesting to view. Great job!!!

Very interesting bird, this is another one that I have not seen before. I like the white head with black stripes, the black band across its eye and the black reaching from under the beak to meet the yellow breast, pretty yellow and grey wings. I like it's position on the branch of the gum tree and I can see that it has caught an insect and is holding it in its beak. I assume by its name that it has a crest on its head, but is holding it down here. Well composed and presented, your notes are informative and appreciated!

Thanks Pat it is only the 2nd time I have seen these birds as they hide up really high in the gum trees - usually hear them and get frustrated looking for them :)
