This is indeed a beautiful blue iris Mary, and I think the light is falling on it in such a lovely way. The little hoverfly is of course a bonus. The background is probably a bit distracting, but since it is nicely softened, the flower is standing out from it in a very good way.

The photo is sharp, and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the petals of the flowers. The exposure is perfect.

The tight framing is working well and the iris has got a fine placement in the photo. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

Hi Mary, this is such a lovely iris, I like your angle of placement allowing a good look at the shape and structure of the iris. The hover fly shows well too .
This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!

Very nice capture of this beautiful Bearded Iris in the bright sun Mary ;)
White Balance was Controlled perfectly here proving it can be done correctly without any blow out on colors.
I like the tight crop and the added bonus of the Hoverfly.
Focus is sharp showing fine crisp details.
Well done ;)

Mary,
A beautiful picture of this clear blue sky Bearded Iris with a tiny Hoverfly casting it's shadow on the Iris. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
