I love tulips too. Nice shadows and sunlight contrast. I maybe would lighten the shadows a bit but the you might lose the contrast. You could try it to see what you think.

Wow pat I am envious. You have a live tulip in Alaska in winter. I have to paint flowers to get the colors I urge.
I to love the deep reds and the detail in the petals is amazing. Really well presented with beautiful color and perfect shading.

Thank you so very much Monica, I buy these at Costco, they come in water bowls and they are on my dining room table, I love tulips and love to watch them bloom . The only bad thing about them is that the blooms don?t last for very long .

Beautiful picture I love the vibrant colors. The red and green compliment each other nicely. And the light is hitting the petals perfectly! I love planting tulips and daffodils and watching them come up in the spring!

A stunning vision. Bold capture of intense colour makes this pop. Very attract in an artistic way. You say you grow them in water. I was a gardner for years and never heard of that way. Interesting and what a result. It is a beautiful capture. The vibrant red and shadows make it special.

Thank you so much Brenda! The bulbs are placed onto a rack near the bottom of the clear glass bulb the water just reaches the bottom of the bulbs, I love having them n the house and watching them grow.

Simply gorgeous! Beautifully focused, love the way this ruby hued beauty fills the frame with it's shadow cast upon it's green leaves. You were able to capture the sheen upon the petals!

Fabulous photograph of this tulip. The color of the tulip is rich looking. Great focus and lighting. Sharp detail. The green background enhances the color of the tulip. Well composed. Nicely done.

A beautiful blossom that looks particularly good in this light that brings out the detail of the petals yet leaves some of the flower in the shade. Great colors and nice cropping.

Your floral photograph is a capture of a flower rich in vivid red color whose shadow encompasses a surreal-like background of light and dark green color. As a retired teacher of Grades Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 3, I can look at your 'Brand New Bloom' picture as being in a Picture Book about Colors- showcasing the colors Red and Green, and also being in a Picture Book about Shadows In Photography.

Another gem of a photograph.
