This Butterfly is beautiful. Its vivid colors demand the attention of the viewers. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I am impressed by the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The shallow background is unobtrusive and emphasizes the butterfly. The tight framing is sufficient. The Buckeye has a excellent placement within the frame. The composition is balanced.

It is a truly pretty butterfly you have pictured here Willie, and I like the close and personal approach. The background is also nicely softened for the Buckeye to stand out in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp, and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen both in the wings and the body of the butterfly. The exposure is perfect.
The tight cropping is working well, and the butterfly has got such a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
