The combination of blues and purples behind these start trees is lovely indeed! You have an artist eye to bring this scene to life for us with excellent definition, wonderful framing and such clarity! Beautiful work!

I couldn't pass this one up. The view is so enchanting. It easily inspires one to paint it or write about it. There is such a romance to this piece. Great work!

That is spellbinding! The natural flow of the creek seems like it wants to contain the trees to just "stay" as they are for the perfect composition. The beautiful background colors are captured brilliantly and allow the trees to stay bold as the focal point for the perfect balance of dark and light. Well done!

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition grants us a lovely view of that beautiful winter landscape before you. Textures, colours and tones are good. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Well taken!

Hi Pat .. Won't be long before the black water turns ice blue.

This is a wonderful study in contrast from bottom to top and laid out in a virtual rule of thirds format.

The colors are strong and bold front front to back.

The framing is such that when first viewed the eye sees the water then gradually the mid and upper portions hit the retina and the piece is seen in the mind in its entirety .. makes me shiver.

When I look further into the landscape it takes on a surreal kind of a mood.

A different look for an Alaskan landscape .. Bob

It is a kind of simplicity in this winter scene with the naked, almost silhouetted look and the almost black creek. I can still see slight reflections. The sky is also truly lovely and the trees are standing out from it in an excellent way.

The photo is of course pin sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the photo. The white balance and exposure is spot on.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the fine leading lines created by the position of the creek. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Pat, and with an excellent DOF.

Pat,
A finger chilling picture of the little creek/stream still flowing while it's banks are covered in snow & the trees pointing skywards along the banks & beyond are pointing skywards & are leafless. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

Lovely sky with its blues and spare clouds. The barren trees stand out well also. The snow is nice as is the black or dark branch or creek. Thanks for sharing the nice composition.
