A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine and full composition suggests to me that the man is about to be transported into another galaxy! Colours, textures and tones are good. Well created and good luck!

Ha ha I very much doubt you?re any older than me Brian - send me a private message and we?ll compare ages! Lol
Thank you so much for your review, yes the figure is meant to be looking into the vortex, it seemed a bit barren without him.

Nice to see you challenging yourself with new mediums - you did well, personally wouldn't know where to start so very impressed. Love the spiral which reminds me of a Slinky. Good color and presentation.

Oh I remember slinkys, I used to love sending them to acrobat down the stairs!
To be honest Mary I hadn?t a clue where to start either, so I just threw a few colours on and tried out all the various effects and went from there - I used layers for every addition, so that if any didn?t work I could just delete that particular layer. You should give it a try, it was great fun.
Thank you so much for your review, I really appreciate it.

Congratulations on your 50th post. This is beautiful digital art and would also be beautiful in any other traditional art, but more difficult perhaps to attain. I love the vivid colors in circles, the inner sparkles in the dark blue/navy and the center lighter blue, also the small figure staring into it all. Fine work.

Thank you so much Glena. Ha ha I would find it completely impossible in traditional art, oh the joys of a computer! :-)

Congratulations on your Milestone. Very cool first try. The centrifugal force generated by this scene almost makes my head spin. The color range is beautiful. This shape reminds me of the old fashion large wirled suckers I got at our family picnic 60 years ago. The center reminds me of the black hole of Star Wars fame. The distant star cluster circling the planet gives great DOF.

Hi Charlotte, this is absolutely stunning! Love the beautiful vortex you created! Love the process you went thru to create this. Looks like you have a time traveler inside the vortex. I can only imagine what he is thinking. Pov is wonderful. This is out of the box thinking! A wonderful piece of art for the colorful art contest. I so wish I had a six for you! Good luck in the contest! :o) Nancy

Aww thank you Nancy! I?m thrilled that you like it.
Of course it?s totally your fault with your kaleidoscope snowflake, it got me looking into and trying out all the different effects possible! So thank you!

BTW I downloaded the kaleidoscope one from that website, opened it and my photoshop elements opened, but then I couldn?t find it in any of the ?effects?! There?s probably something I?m not doing, any suggestions???

Try looking under plug-ins or the help click on. It's been so long that I got the kaleidoscope plug in I don't remember how I set it up. The search area for what's on your computer ( not the online one) might help too. So sorry you're having trouble. I'm glad you're checking out the filters that come with Photoshop Elements. You can learn a lot

Hi Charlotte, sorry to hear you're having trouble. I put my kaleidoscope plug in over 10 years ago and don't remember how I did it. Try looking for plug ins in photoshop elements and see if you can find it there. Sometimes plug inside are found in the help section of your software program. You can also use the search button for your computer, not the online search. Hope that helps. Glad to hear you discovered the filters in photo shop elements. Love what you just created.

Wow, Charlotte, has the abstract, fantasy bug bitten, along with that desire for artist creativity? Many have take that first step, so enjoy. Such a full palette with this piece, I can see your imagination and you have done a fine job with it. Mark my words, it is a journey and very rewarding. Ray

Thank you so much for your lovely review, it?s always rather scary posting something outside the comfort zone, but words from the master have helped a lot!

With all the great colors this is an image with a strong visual impact, and with the spiral you have created, the viewer is just drawn in. I also like that human being is done as a silhouette, and that you also added a shadow.

The format ad framing is perfect, and with the man/woman placed off to the right, it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a great looking and well done digital creation Charlotte, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Wow Charlotte ! That was my initial reaction! This is completely awesome , it's a perfect entry for this contest as it has so many colors! There is a nice sense of motion here and you have accomplished such good depth, I love the way this swirls ! The figure in silhouette gives scale as to the size of the colorful swirls as well as his view into space!
I gotta say, congratulations on your first digital artwork as well as this being post number 50!
Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!
