My husband and I live in Washington state in the foothills of the Cascades.
We started touring by motorcycle in 2001 I used our little Canon PowerShot 100 to snap photos while we were moving. Some of them turned out pretty good, but overall we'd get home and I'd think I wanted better photos. the next year we'd stop for some photos and that made me happy, but the were still snapshots and I wanted still better photos. I started studying photos and some how-to's online. I got brave and entered a few photos at our County fair. I'd never looked at photos at the fair before and was embarrassed with what I'd submitted. Those photographers .were SERIOUS!!! I'm pretty competitive and I was going to do better! I really worked at learning my new camera, a Canon EOS 60D and keep learning all the technical things on a daily basis. One thing that's helped me is deconstructing a photo that missed my vision
I love photography, probably because I can't draw worth beans and I love art.
