I have been using art as an almost meditative tool to immerse myself in whilst I have been caring for my husband (who has several serious medical conditions and dementia). And this past few days his care has moved to palliative and the hospice team are coming in to help me. This art work describes how I feel - cast adrift, "all at sea", steering a rudderless boat. I do want to keep interacting with FAR friends during this time through art, it gives me a sense of purpose and distraction from reality and a kind word can mean more than you will ever know. That is what I am learning at the moment, at the end of the day, all that really matters is love and kindness.
