Chrissie has completed a couple of general photography courses and now learns mainly by experimentation - currently by combining photography and digital art to learn new mixed media techniques, which allows her to get creative and break the rules. She has made many friends on this site and really enjoys the social interaction with fellow photographers and artists. She lives in Staffordshire, England with her husband, two dogs and two cats. She has a passion for photographing animals and nature and loves abstract art.

I use posints that I've earned from reviewing to promote my work. I never just buy any (can't afford it lol) But I do an awful lot of reviewing to get the points! It's just something that I really enjoy.

Can anyone explain to me what a banner advertisement is or does? I've been 'rewarded' them from time to time for reviewing and added them to a pic. Then a few minutes later it'll say 'shown 600 of 600 times'. No idea what it's about. Can anyone enlighten me?! Thanks. Chrissie.

Badger : I'm fairly well convinced that stuff fails to sell here chiefly because members rate their work too highly, take a look at other sites selling their members work and see what they charge. Most buyers don't want to put your picture on a wall, they are most often used for the interweb or hard copy magasene s

icnpictures : I do not think the banner advertisements are very helpful- you may get 1 or 2 reviews from one of them IF you are lucky and as for selling work I think it is hard to sell work where it is marketed mostly to other artists who can do the same things you/ I can. Just my thoughts :) Cindy B
