Sitting, sketching in parks (I love their orderly form) is my way of wasting time- whether in Sheffield, London, Delhi, Lahore, Qingdao, or Beijing- I put my all into teaching, as I love my job with a passion besides the voluntary groups I run but sketching all that passes by-- and watching tv (I hesitate to admit) is a good anti-dote -- also sitting in Macdonalds and sketching all who come there is another favourite pass time. I know I am not alone in this. I know I am not good at small talk or socialising so this is my form of small talk and socialising.
