sort of shock

this day--message came through that my closest friend, who had gone to New Zealand some years before, from the next barrack at refugee camp, since I was 7, had died. I kind of felt a hysteria, can't be possible, she was only thirty. Just sat and painted the plant..Later that day, at Sheffield art college, we were told to use as many colours as possible. I am an obedient, quiet sort of person, but could only paint white, - white white- the model was all white. The lecturer gave me a right dressing down as I was a mature student: you people think you can do anything you want.. /not me at all/ I couldn't answer. Sadly she too died from Human Research over use, who were messing at the art college, pressed her lung too hard and she died soon after of a collapsed lung.
